Alcohol: Can’t sell it at self checkouts
AB 183– Chapter 726 - B&P Code §23394.7
Effective January 1, 2012
The New Law: Prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages at an automated or customer-operated checkout stand (“self checkout”).
May be reprinted for non-commercial use if a credit line is included acknowledging
the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer Affairs.
