SOLAR COMPANIES – BETTER DISCLOSURES FOR CONSUMERS
AB 2863, Public Utilities Code 218, 218.3, 739.5, 2868
This new law requires solar companies to give customers an estimate of the kilowatt hours to be delivered; how the pricing will be calculated over the life of the contract, and the price per kilowatt hour. The company has to also explain the operation and maintenance responsibiliy created by the contract; the removal of the system at the end of the contract; and provisions regulating the transfer of the contract if the house is sold.
