AUTOS – REPAIRS “CAPPING” PROHIBITED

SB 1371, Insurance Code 758.6

This law prohibits and defines auto repair “capping.” Capping happens when an insurance company, as a standard practice, pays less for auto repair claims than what is accepted by industry standards.
